Randstad collaborates with student platform Minite to reach students

The platform that assists students in gaining relevant work experience through data-driven hiring and helps companies find valuable talent is entering into a partnership with Randstad to connect young talent with the business world.

Rotterdam, May 6, 2024 - Student platform Minite.works, the platform that assists driven students in gaining relevant work experience during their studies and connects companies with valuable young talent, announces today that it has entered into a partnership with Randstad, the world's largest staffing agency. With this partnership, Randstad will leverage Minite’s strong network among students and data-driven, inclusive selection methods to find the best talent among younger generations.

The partnership, set for one year, will increase Randstad's visibility among the pool of over 18,000 HBO and university students in Minite's diverse database through several initiatives. A significant portion of this pool consists of Gen Z'ers, a target audience that Randstad aims to effectively reach and engage with through Minite.

"Thanks to our connections with universities and our unique hiring practices, such as anonymous, data-based hiring that provides every applicant with an equal opportunity, we can attract talent among the younger generations entering the job market like few others can. Recently, we even won the 010 Inclusive Award for this, presented by the Social Economic Council (SER) and the Municipality of Rotterdam," says Micky Chen, co-founder of Minite. "In the vibrant Rotterdam ecosystem characterized by connecting events such as the Municipality of Rotterdam's Upstream Festival, we were able to make the necessary connections with startups and connect young people with innovative companies. This has given our company an indispensable boost towards success. With the partnership with Randstad, we are now embarking on a new era where we can offer our services to an even wider range of companies."

The collaboration with Randstad marks a significant milestone in Minite's continued growth. The startup, originally launched as a freelance platform for students, recognized a great need among young people to be connected with relevant companies during their studies. Minite has been active in the Rotterdam startup ecosystem for years and was able to link this need to the demand for young talent among startups, thanks to its embedded position in this system. Partnering with a company like Randstad underscores that their innovative business concept also adds value to established players.

Mara de Vries, Campus Recruiter at Randstad, emphasizes: "At Randstad, we believe that everyone brings unique talent. We want to become the employer where everyone wants to work, regardless of where you come from, who you love, how old you are, or what you believe in. We want to grow together towards a more diverse organization. And that naturally begins with the recruitment of our new colleagues. That's why we see the collaboration with Minite as a valuable opportunity. With Minite's innovative platform and their inclusive selection methods, we can be even more effective in connecting students with suitable opportunities. This collaboration enables us to bring talent and opportunities together, allowing both students and companies to thrive in a dynamic job market."

To find new connections with potentially valuable partners, Minite will be present at the Upstream Festival 2024.
