When & WHERE is Upstream festival 2023?
Upstream 2023 will take place from Tuesday, May 23 to Thursday, May 25, 2023. The main events are taking place at Annabel Rotterdam, Schiestraat 20, 3013 AH Rotterdam.

What are the opening hours?
Upstream consists of multiple events at different times and locations all throughout the South Holland region. For the specific times per event, please refer to the MAIN & THE CITY PROGRAM. They will be in detail shared on this website.
What does the program look like?
You can find the entire program on the main page and on the Upstream 2023 Swapcard platform.
what is swapcard?
Swapcard is an online event platform, where Upstream 2023 attendees can connect with other attendees, plan the Main and City agendas, bookmark favorite sessions and sign up for roundtables of this year’s festival.
After purchasing a ticket, you receive an invitation to Swapcard at the email address you used for sign up.

Which ticket should I get?
We recommend getting a three day pass, which gives you access to the Main Events for Fireside chats, meeting tables, roundtables and networking three days long. You may also purchase a one day ticket for Talent Tuesday, Capital Wednesday or Growth Thursday.
CAN I BUY MULTIPLE TICKETS?
If you buy multiple tickets, please make sure to fill out a unique e-mail address for each attendee, to receive access to Swapcard platform – our community platform.
who organizes upstream?
Upstream is a non-profit startup event that started in 2020, as an umbrella event for the best our startup ecosystem has to offer. It is made possible by Up!Rotterdam and co-creation partners across the Netherlands. We thank our partners for their continued support in helping us to organize the main agenda of the Upstream.
City events are organized by companies from the startup and scale-up ecosystem of the Greater Rotterdam Area.
What is the difference between a main and city event?
Main events are organized by Upstream 2023 and will take place at the main location – announced in February 2023. City events are organized and curated by our partners. Please refer to the specific event itself for access. On the home page, you will be able to find a listing of city events.
Can I also attend a city event with my 3-day ticket?
No, you can’t. You must register or purchase your own ticket for the specific event. See the main page for the overview of the city events.
do i need a ticket to attend the city events?
Yes, you have to register to every City Event separately by following the link provided by the Co-Creator.
Are there lockers or wardrobe available?
A wardrobe and lockers are available at the mani venue Annabel Rotterdam.
What happens to found objects?
Found items will be stored with the organization of Upstream festival until Friday June 2nd. Please contact info@upstreamfestival.com for lost & found items.
What about food and drinks at Upstream festival?
Food and beverages will be available at the main location of Upstream festival at a surcharge, unless mentioned otherwise.
For the city events, food and beverages may also be included depending on the nature of the event. Please refer your event of choice for details.
Public transport
The easiest way to get to Upstream 2023 is from the Rotterdam Central Station – it only takes around 5 minutes by walk.

Bicycle racks will be available near the main location.
Parking
The parking garages and parking space around Annabel Rotterdam are limited. Please see public parking spaces in Rotterdam before your travel.
What are the Covid Rules?
Currently, there are no restrictions predicted, due to the covid-19 pandemic. For the latest information always visit the official website of the Dutch government.
